Part of the reason I am OPTOMISTIC about our youth but realize we MUST educate ALL of our Young People.

Alexander the Great - Born 325 BC - 2,332 years ago

"During the reign of Alexander the Great, the GREEK people conquered the POWERFUL Persian Empire, established libraries / learning centers, and advanced civilization."

Hesiod – concerned GREEK citizen – 700 BC – 2,700 years ago & almost 400 years before Alexander the Great wrote:

"I see no hope for the future of our people if they are dependent on the frivolous youth of today, for certainly all youth are reckless beyond words. When I was a boy, we were taught to be discrete and respectful of elders, but the present youth are exceedingly wise and impatient of restraint."

Homer - famous GREEK poet - presumed author of the Iliad and the Odyssey, 9th-8th century BC - 2,900 years ago & almost 600 years before Alexander the Great wrote:

"In youth and beauty, wisdom is but rare!"
